City police

Two accidents and several tickets were issued recently by Greencastle police.

On Saturday:

*At 12:15 a.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred in the parking lot of 1033 Indianapolis Rd.

Sgt. Charles Inman, Jr. reported that Joshua Lawless, Avon, had his 2003 Pontiac Sunfire parked in the parking lot when Michael Pride, 17, Greencastle drove a 1989 Ford F250, registered to Chris and Nerva Pride of the same address, into Lawless' vehicle in a "sideswipe" like motion. Pride claims he failed to see Lawless' vehicle in the unlit lot.

Damage is estimated at $2,500 - $5,000.

*At. 7:39 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred at Bloomington and Seminary streets.

Sgt. Charles Inman, Jr. reported that Stephen Grothouse, 23, Indianapolis had mistaken the stop sign at Seminary and Bloomington streets to be a four-way stop. Thinking he had the right-a-way, Grothouse drove his 2004 Chrysler Sebring, registered to Erik and Kathleen Grothouse, Fishers, into the lane where Kelcie D. Bell, 17, Greencastle, was driving a 2001 Pontiac Aztek, registered to Joann Bell of the same address, southbound on Bloomington Street. After Grothouse had turned, Bell said she could not avoid the collision.

Damage was estimated at $2,500 - $5,000.

Meanwhile, several citations were issued.

On Thursday:

*At 8:50 p.m., Jeremy Musall, 23, Greencastle, was cited on Jackson and Columbia Streets for driving with a suspended license. He was cited by Sgt. Charles Inman, Jr.

On Friday:

*At 8:55 p.m., Tony Starr, Jr., 24, Greencastle, was cited on Bloomington Street for an unsafe start. He was cited by Sgt. Charles Inman, Jr.

*At 2 p.m., Amber Houck, 19, Reelsville, was cited on Indianapolis Road for a front seat passenger restraint violation. She was cited by Officer Travis DeLaGrange.

*At 2:30 p.m., Deron Freeman, 42, Spencer, was cited on Bloomington Street for a restraint violation. He was cited by Officer Travis DeLaGrange.

*At 2:50 p.m., Morganna Figueroa, 25, Poland, was cited on Fillmore Road for an expired license plate. She was cited by Officer Travis DeLaGrange.

*At 4 p.m., Johnathan Sutherlin, 22, Greencastle, was cited on Shadowlawn Avenue for a restraint violation. He was cited by Officer Travis DeLaGrange.

*At 4:15 p.m., Jeffery Bell, 40, was cited on West Franklin Street for a restraint violation. He was cited by Officer Travis DeLaGrange.

On Saturday:

*At 4:30 p.m., Chad Boles, 30, Greencastle, was cited on Elm Street for a front seat passenger restraint violation. He was cited by Sgt. Chris Jones.

*At. 3:37 a.m., Vernon Saunders, 49, Greencastle, was cited on Main Street for an unsafe start. He was cited by Officer Matt Huffman.

*At 8:20 p.m., Cody Coy, 19, New Castle, was cited on South Bloomington Street for driving 45 m.p.h in a 30 m.p.h. zone. He was cited by Officer Chris Helmer.

On Sunday:

*At 2:05 a.m., John Sisk, 26, Martinsville, was cited on South Bloomington Street for an expired license plate. He was cited by Sgt. Charles Inman, Jr.

*At 3:15 p.m., Vilis Berze, 86, Greencastle, was cited on 240 East for an expired license plate. He was cited by Officer Chris Jones.

*At 1:55 a.m., Randa Zahr, 32, Greencastle, was cited on Avenue D for driving with a suspended license with prior notice. She was cited by Officer Matt Huffman.

*At 4:15 p.m., Dill Dean, 51, Spencer, was cited on South Bloomington Street for driving 45 m.p.h. in a 30 .m.p.h. zone and driving without a driver's license. He was cited by Officer Chris Helmer.

On Monday:

*At 3:30 a.m. Monday, James Page, 25, Greencastle, was cited on Elizabeth Street for a false/fictitious registration. He was cited by Sgt. Charles Inman, Jr.
