John Ryan Wood, 27, Greencastle, died.

Born May 4, 1979, in Putnam County, he was the son of John C. and Brenda C. York Wood.

He had worked in construction.

Survivors include his parents; a daughter, Riley May Wood; a girlfriend, Samantha Shillings; three sisters, Amanda, Amy and Kimberly Wood, all of Greencastle; and grandparents John N. and Rita Wood, Greencastle.

Private services were conducted Thursday with burial at Little Walnut Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle.
