Perry E. Lewis, 86, Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Greencastle, died Sunday at Hospice in Jacksonville.
Born in Vigo County, he was the son of Orlando and Louisa (Shun) Lewis.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he had attended Greencastle High School and retired as a brick mason.
He married Ruth Burge, who preceded him in death, and Dorothy Marie Kimmel, who also preceded him in death.
Surviving are his children, Jerry Lewis and wife Barbara, Greencastle, Cheryl Henson and husband Larry, Jacksonville, Fla., and Rodney Lewis and wife Jill, Mooresville, N.C.; brother Abraham Lewis and wife Mable, Greencastle; sister Virginia Anderson and husband James, Greencas-tle; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wives.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Charles Rains officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
