Alma M. Bridges

Alma M. Wood Daugherty Bridges, 78, Indianapolis, died Monday at her residence.

Born in Wadesboro, La., she was the daughter of Ben and Octivia (Lavagine) Wood.

She was employed for 10 years by Jenn Air Corp. on the assembly line.

She married Paul "Jack" Bridges, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, James Daugherty and wife Marsha; two daughters, Barbara Byers and Jo Ellen Wildin and husband Mick; sister Joyce Modlin and husband Clifford; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three stepchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers Ben H. and James Wood, and sisters Shirley Lasseigne and Mary Ann Babin.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, Franklin. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
