Frank E. Bettis, 85, Greenwood, formerly of Indianapolis, died Mon-day.
Born in Morton, he was the son of Noel and Daitha (Thomas) Bettis.
He owned and operated Bettis Cleaners, retiring in 2001. He was a World War II Army Air Corps pilot flying supply missions over the China-Burma hump, and was a member of The Hump Pilots Association.
Surviving are companion Mary Fisher; daughter Nancy Bettis Beasley, Carmel; son Scott Bettis, Indianapolis; sister Marcia Nelson, Greencastle; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is set for 5 p.m. Thursday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, Indianapolis.
Visitation is one hour prior to services.
