Garrett Terhune

Garrett Dale Terhune, 78, Greencastle, died Wednesday morning at Autumn Glen.
Born at Jasonville, he was the son of Newton Dean and Olive P. (Larr) Terhune.
A 1947 graduate of Midland High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He had been a millwright and machine repairman at Allison in Indianapolis for 39 years, retiring in 1990. He had also farmed. He was a member of United Autoworkers Union and Clinton Falls Community Church.
He married Barbara Bennet on June 20, 1954. She died Jan. 20, 2002.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Brady and husband Denny, Greencastle; sister Betty Bare, Anderson; five grandchildren and a great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son Gary Terhune.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Kelzo "Buck" Martin officiating. Entombment will be in Pinewood Mausoleum at Forest Hill, Greencastle.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday.
