Daniel Lee Shonkwiler, 56, Greenwood, died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital.

Born in Greencastle, he was the son of Malcolm and Norma (Gardner) Shonkwiler.

He was employed for 26 years by Greenwood Community Schools as a custodian, retiring in 2005. He was retired from the Indiana National Guard.

Surviving are his father, Greenwood; and three brothers, David L. Shonkwiler, Fortville, Mark A. Shonkwiler and Richard D. Shonkwiler, both of Greenwood; and sister Teri L. Stisher, LaPorte.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday.
