GHS girls oust Danville, 104-82

On Tuesday, the Greencastle High School girls' swimming team played host to Danville in a tune-up for the Putnam County Meet Thursday, winning, 104-82.

The Tiger Sharks picked up six first-place finishes Tuesday en route to the win.

Kelsey Murtaugh and Erica Soster both earned two firsts in the meet. Murtaugh won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.08 while also placing first in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:04.29. Soster also won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.71 while also winning the 100-yard freestyle at 58.77.

Other winners for the Tiger Sharks included the 200-yard medley relay team of Murtaugh, Caitlin Gannaway, Melissa Ball and Soster with a time of 1:59.98, and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Morgan Terry, Erika Collins, Murtaugh and Soster with a time of 1:49.03.

The Tiger Sharks will compete in the Putnam County Meet on Thursday.
