Tom Matthews

Tom Matthews, 68, Terre Haute, died Tuesday at Mill Pond Health Campus, Greencastle.

Born in Daviess County, he was the son of Ward and Grace (Williams) Matthews.

He had been a salesman for United Rentals, was former owner of Vigo County Equipment in Terre Haute, was formerly employed by Massey Fer-guson in Greenfield and Findley, and had worked for John Deere in Greencastle.

He married Jane Crane on June 26, 1960. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, J. Thomas Matthews and wife Colleen, Green-castle; daughter Nikki Matthews, Terre Haute; brothers Joe Matthews, Elnora, and Van Matthews, Keene, N.H.; sisters Sue Houk, Greenwood, Lue Bindhammer, Indiana-polis, and Kay Laughlin, Odon; two grandchildren, six nieces and three nephews and several other relatives.

He was preceded in death by sister Nancy Matthews and daughter Chris-tina Rene Matthews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Odon, with Bro. Larry Scott officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home, Odon, and 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
