Phyllis E. York

July 19, 1937-March 11, 2007

Phyllis E. York, 69, Greencastle, died Sunday.

Born in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Earl and Mae Sears Humphrey. She married Forrest O. York March 31, 1956, and he survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Rick York and wife Jane, Greencastle; a sister, Coleen Hayes, Greencastle; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James O. York; five sisters, Norvetta, Virginia, June, Wilma and Mabel; and two brothers, Keith and Donald.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Mike Goss officiating. Interment will follow at Putnamville Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
