Tax deadline approaches

The trustee/assessors of Putnam County remind all taxpayers that May 15 is the deadline for filing personal property assessment forms. Failure to do so can result in penalties and fines.

Property subject to tax includes individual tangible personal property including snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, non-motorized boats, campers and motor homes.

Tangible personal property includes farm machinery, livestock, horses, ponies, poultry, stored grain, all business equipment and inventory.
