Wilma J. Sears, 77, Greencastle, died Wednesday at Mill Pond Health Campus.
Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of George Edgar and Agnes (Torr) Braden.
A 1947 graduate of Greencastle High School, she worked in the finance department at DePauw University for more than 20 years until retiring. She was a member of First Christian Church, DePauw Retirees Club, Putnam County Hospital Guild, Mother's Club and Christian Women's Fellowship.
Surviving are a son, Alan Sears and wife Diane, Colorado; daughter Karen Arnold and husband Ed, Stilesville; sister Norma Cook, Greencastle, brothers George Braden and wife Betty, Speedway, Howard Braden, Tennessee, John Braden, Greencastle, and Jim Braden and wife Von, Greencastle; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hopkins Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with minister Steve Ranson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday.
