James Lee Preston

James Lee Preston, 69, Roachdale, died Thursday at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.

Born in Danville, Ky., he was the son of Allen and Dellan Elizabeth (Summers) Preston.

He attended Junction City High School in Kentucky. He served in the Army Reserve at Roachdale and Waveland. He retired in 2003 from Milestone Construction, where he worked as a truck driver.

He married Lois Duncan on July 3, 1958, in Russellville. She survives.

Also surviving are brothers Robert Preston and wife Diane, and Ben A. Preston and wife Martha, both of Roachdale; sister Betty Hart, Roachdale, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marsha Stewart.

Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Roachdale Cemetery with Rev. John Gossett officiating.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale.
