William "Bill" Joseph Came, 88, Greencastle, formerly of Brazil, died Saturday at Autumn Glen in Greencastle.
Born in Knightsville, he was the son of William Joseph Came and Dorothy Elizabeth (Trout) Came.
He attended Brazil High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a machine operator for Bridgeport Brass, retiring in 1975.
He married Wanda M. Pell Came on Feb. 20, 1972. She survives.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Came, Greencastle; son William G. Came and wife Barbara, Florida; step-daughter Ernestine Lunsford and husband Arnold, Greencastle; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, a nephew and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Lucille Came, and sister Ruby E. Pieske.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at French Funeral Home, Brazil, with Rev. Patrick Larracey officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Wednesday.
