Letitia Jane Lowdermilk Tennis, 68, Durham, N.C., formerly of Greencastle, died Feb. 11, 2007.

Born in Monmouth, N.J., she was the daughter of Col. Lee and Dorothy Lowder-milk.

A 1957 Greencastle High School graduate, she married George Ward Tennis, son of Dr. George Thralls and Rosemond Tennis.

She attended Indiana University, majoring in art and religion.

She was a department manager for Estee Lauder for the cosmetic department for Belk Hudson in Durham, N.C.

Survivors include her husband, son Patrick Tennis and wife Julie; daughters Kelly Yardley and husband Kevin, and Mary Woodruff and husband Steve; sister Debby Barloon and husband Jack; and nine grandchildren.

Services will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is one hour before service.
