John M. Keeton, 73, Danville, died Tuesday at his residence.
Born in Monticello, Ky., he was the son of Bryan and Celesteen (Decker) Keeton.
He was a self-employed carpet layer and a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He married Imogene Dean. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Linda S. Heylmann Keeton; four sons, Ronnie Keeton and wife Susan, Elkton, Ky., Johnny Keeton and wife Nancy, Danville, Steve Keeton, Decator, Ala., and Darrell Keeton, Indianapolis; four daughters, Sandy Irving and husband Mike, Avon, Teresa Long and husband Earl, Mooresville, Patsy Campbell, Pittsboro, and Lisa Rogers and husband Todd, Brownsburg; step-sons Brett McCloud and Kevin McCloud and wife Donna, both of Plainfield; 15 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and 12 brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with Pastor Wayne Dafoe officiating. Burial will be at Clayton Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
