Caroline E. Sevey

Caroline E. Sevey, 91, Cloverdale, formerly of Greenwood, died Monday.

Born in Antwerp, Ohio, she was the daughter of Frederick N. and Abbie (Carr) Hertel Sr.

She had been employed for 20 years by Brown and Pratt Co. as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church, serving two terms as deaconness.

She married Lewis Sevey in 1943. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Steele and husband James, Cloverdale; two brothers, Basil F. Hertel and Frederick Hertel Jr., both of Antwerp, Ohio; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
