4-H featured in museum exhibit

Monday, June 25, 2007

Community curators from the Reelsville 4-H clubs Jolly Juniors and RPBs have been working hard through the spring to gather information and artifacts about their club history for an exhibit at the Putnam County Museum.

Vicki Timm and Pat Sheldon have led the effort to collect projects, ribbons and pictures as well as information about past members who had received special trips and awards. The club members have also collected photos for a computer slide show as part of their exhibit.

The exhibit will open on Saturday, June 30, with a reception from 10 a.m.-noon catered by the club members. At 11 a.m., a short program featuring early memories of the clubs will be held.

The Putnam County Museum is located at 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle. Museum hours are 1-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, and by appointment. Additional information can be obtained at the website www.co.putnam.in.us/museum, at 653-8419 or museum@co.putnam.in.us.
