Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Chane Bryan King, 23, Coatesville, was booked in at 3:58 a.m. Friday for driving while intoxicated and public intoxication. He was arrested by Greencastle Officer Charles Inman. He was released on bond at 2:32 p.m. Friday.

* Ronald Dwayne Sander, 42, Indianapolis, was booked in at 8:34 p.m. Friday for public intoxication, driving while intoxicated, neglect of a dependent and habitual offender. He was arrested by Greencastle Officer Chris Helmer.

* Robert Joseph Robinson, 26, Greencastle, was booked in at 2:39 a.m. Friday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Officer Inman.

* Charles Rybolt, 48, Terre Haute, was booked in at 7:07 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Deputy Dwight Simmons. He was released at 9:57 a.m. Monday on $800 bond.

* Larry Phillips, 32, Greencastle, was booked in at 3:03 p.m. Saturday on a petition to revoke probation. He was arrested by Conservation Officer David Cruiser.

* Kelsey Nichole Patterson, 19, Greencastle, was booked in at 5:01 p.m. Saturday for possession of marijuana. She was arrested by Deputy Doug Nally.

* Kenny Lawrence McKinney, 28, Indianapolis, was booked in at 8:50 p.m. Saturday for failure to appear in court. He was arrested at PCJ.

* Bryan Vincent Olima, 30, Indianapolis, was booked in at 9:21 p.m. Saturday on a petition to revoke probation. He was arrested at PCJ.

* James Ray Mullis, 46, Coatesville, was booked in at 12:15 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was arrested by Bainbridge Officer Jason Woodall. He was released on $500 bond at 12:02 p.m. Sunday.

* James Ray Mullis II, 21, Coatesville, was booked in at 1:05 a.m. Sunday for disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. He was arrested by Bainbridge Officer Mike Mahoy. He was released on $500 bond at 12:02 p.m. Sunday.

* Cyle Andrew Duncan, 22, Fillmore, was booked in at 4:07 a.m. Sunday for residential entry and battery. He was arrested by Deputy Adam Hull.

* Shaun Alen Miles, 21, Greencastle, was booked in at 9:34 a.m. Sunday for battery with bodily injury to a child. He was arrested by Greencastle Det. Randy Seipel and Officer Michael Collins.

* Robert Eugene Harmon, 59, Greencastle, was booked in at 8:01 p.m. Sunday for domestic battery. He was arrested by Sgt. Inman.

* Jessica Doane, 21, Indianapolis, was booked in at 2:09 p.m. Monday on a court order. She was released on $300 bond at 2:33 p.m. Monday.

Sheriff's Dept.

Several accidents were investigated by the Putnam county Sheriff's Dept recently.

* At 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, two vehicles collided on Interstate 70 near the 48-mile marker.

Sgt. Don Pettit reported that Chris Cottom, 49, West Terre Haute, was driving east in a 2005 Ford truck when he passed a slower vehicle and as he tried to change lanes, his truck collided with the front end of a 1991 Lincoln Towncar driven by Bradley Marshal, 25, Terre Haute.

Damage was estimated at $750-$1,000.

* At 6:27 a.m. Wednesday, a truck hit a deer on Ind. 42 near Doe Creek Road.

Deputy Ronnie Campbell reported that Michael W. Coogle, 52, Corydon, was westbound in a 1995 Ford F250 when he could not avoid the animal.

Damage was estimated at $1,000-$2,500.

* At 10:16 a.m. Wednesday, a truck and trailer jackknifed on U.S. 231 just north of U.S. 36.

Deputy Campbell reported that Kenneth J. Kirchner, 60, Brazil, was driving south in a 2001 Mack truck when he braked to stop for a red light. His empty trailer jackknifed on the wet road and sent the vehicle into Detro's Trailer Sales.

Damage was estimated at $10,000-$25,000.

* At 3:27 p.m. Wednesday, a car hit a guardrail on CR 525 North.

Deputy Josh Boller reported that Aaron D.Lydle, 17, Quincy, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet too fast for the weather condition and failed to make a curve in the road, striking the guardrail head-on.

Damage was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.

* At 4:30 p.m. Thursday, two vehicles collided on U.S. 231 at U.S. 40.

Deputy Boller reported that Maryland M. Jellison, 65, 1133 Avenue E, Greencastle, was driving south in a 2007 Chevrolet pickup when she was rear-ended by a 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by Alan C. Anderson, 59, Mount Clemens, Mich.

Damage was estimated at $1,000-$2,500.

* At 4:21 p.m. Friday, two vehicles collided on CR 75 North near U.S.231.

Deputy Craig Sibbit reported that Phillip Todd Asbell, 42, Greencastle, was driving south in a 2006 Ford van when he stopped to look at a car in a driveway.

His vehicle was rear-ended by a 2007 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle driven by his brother Jeffrey Dale Asbell, 45, Desoto, Kan.

Damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

* At 10:10 a.m. Saturday, two vehicles collided on Right-of-Way Road and Main Street in Fillmore.

Sgt. Tom Helmer reported that Douglas W. Reynolds 48, 181 Jefferson Valley, Coatesville, was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer when he met an oncoming 1999 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Cory W. Cook, 23, 2103 N. CR 550 East, Fillmore.

Reynolds said he moved as far right as possible but the trailer he was pulled was struck by the car.

Damage was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.
