The Greencastle Fire Department responded to several recent runs.

On Sunday:

*At 8:31 p.m. firefighters responded to an animal rescue at 14 Beveridge Street. done at 20:45. Three cats on a roof but came down on own when firefighters arrived on scene. They returned to station at 8:45 p.m.

On Monday:

* At 8:51 a.m. firefighters assisted Operation Life with a lift on E. Berry St They returned to station at 9:16 a.m.

*At 10:25 a.m. firefighters responded to a fire alarm at Lear Corp., 500 Fillmore Rd. The alarm system was under construction. They were disregarded en route and returned to station at 10:32 a.m.
