CHS girls finish fifth at Invitational

The Cloverdale Clovers hosted the Cloverdale Invitational Thursday at Clover Meadows. The Clovers finished the day in fifth-place.

Kate Chambers led Cloverdale with a 103, while Kayla Langdon followed with a 122. Elizabeth Wiley shot a 133 and Jessica Hall recorded a 146 for the Clovers.

Chambers made the All-Invitational team along with Emily Zimmerman and Heather Hughes of South Putnam; Kelsey Utterback and Jenna Whalen of Southmont; and Adrian Anderson and Laurie Steele of Tri-West.

"Our experience this week will pay off as we improve later in the season," Coach Ken Williams said.

Team scores -- South Putnam 397, Southmont 421, Cascade 463, Tri-West 465, Cloverdale 504.

Individual scores

South Putnam -- Zimmerman 84, Hughes 92, Aker 109, Clark 112.

Cloverdale -- Chambers 103, Langdon 122, Wiley 133, Hall 146.
