Edna Faye Peggy White

Edna Faye Peggy White, 90, Russellville, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Bellville, Ill.

Born in Bremerton, Wash., she was the daughter of Grover C. and Retta F. (Simpson) Almon.

She was a 1935 graduate of Cynthina High School and a member of Russellville Community Church and Eastern Star. She had been employed by Russellville Elevator and Ben Hur Nursing Home as a secretary.

She married Robert C. White on Sept. 4, 1937 in Thorntown. He died March 21, 1983.

Surviving are a son, Kent White, Morgantown; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Keith, brother James Almon, and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Russellville Community Church with Rev. James Elliott officiating.

Burial will be in Russellville Cemetery.

Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Monday.
