Couple mark 50th year

William and Evangeline Strahl

William Lee and Evangeline Strahl celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a reception at the Greencastle Moose Lodge.

Strahl and the former Evangeline Meckel were united in marriage Aug. 24, 1957 at San Antonio, Texas. They are the parent of Gary Strahl and Lori Allen, Douglas and Christine Strahl, and Rhonda and Mike Wallace. They have five grandchildren.
