Monday, August 13, 2007

The Cloverdale Lions Club is looking for people who have made a positive difference in the Cloverdale community.

The club is seeking nominations for the Cloverdale Civic Award now through noon Wednesday.

The award is meant to recognize the many people in the town who donate their time and money to make the community a better place to live, a Lion's Club media release said.

The club will engrave the winner's name on a plaque in town hall.

Past winners include: Jeff Rich, Bill Henderson, Adeline Knoy, Vera Hughes, Eric Hayman, Wayne Sutherlin, Judy Whitaker, Dr. Keith Ernst, Don Walton, Jack Davis and Rosemary Davis.

Nominations should include the nominee's name and address and the reason for nomination.

They can either be mailed to Todd Lewis in care of Cloverdale Lions Club, 75 Anna St., Cloverdale, 46120, or dropped off at any First National Bank of Cloverdale branch.
