LEBANON -- Emily Zimmerman continued her strong season for South Putnam golf, shooting a 72 on an unfamiliar course to win medalist honors at the Western Boone Invitational at Cool Lake Golf Club. Her score led the Eagles to a fourth place finish with a 363.

Western took the team title with a 341.

Zimmerman was followed by Heather Hughes with an 83. Grace Aker had a 102, and Chelsea Clark rounded out the scoring with a 106.

"Overall, it was a very good day for us," South coach Debbie Steffey said. "The girls adjusted well to the delay and the conditions. Taking into account that none of them had ever played Cool Lake before, their course management was great and it paid off in their final scores."
