June Conrad

June Conrad, 73, Greencastle, died Tuesday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Earle and Helen (Townsend) Wiseman. She married Richard Conrad on Aug. 8, 1954, and he survives.

She was a 1951 graduate of Greencastle High School and a 1954 graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing. Later she became the director of nursing at Asbury Towers in Greencastle, retiring in 1990.

She was a member of Tri Kappa, Garden Club and Windy Hill Country Club.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Karen Siler and husband Ralph, Fort Wayne; two sons, David Conrad and wife Karen, Donners Grove, Ill., and Thomas Conrad and wife Tamara, Spokane, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons William E. and Mark L. Conrad.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. A private family burial will follow.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
