Eric G. Parker, 45, Philadelphia, Pa., died Saturday.

Born in Lafayette, he was the son of Linda and Willis Parker.

He graduated from Poynette High School in Madison, Wisc., in 1980 and obtained his education at the University of Wisconsin where he earned a bachelor's degree in history, Russian language and political science in 1984. He went on to earn his master's degree and PhD degree in sociology.

He was the founding staff person and executive director of the Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership.

Survivors include his wife Denise and her children, Alex and Nora; his parents, Linda and Willis Parker; a sister, Lisa Gummere and husband Jeff; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with a memorial service to follow in Milwaukee, Wisc. at a later date.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
