Man sentenced to 14 years following molestation case

Tuesday, September 4, 2007

David Hudson, 39, of Cloverdale, was sentenced Monday morning to 14 years in prison for molesting two female relatives.

Ten years of that sentence will be executed by order of Putnam Circuit Court Judge Matt Headley.

"Mr. Hudson molested these two young girls over a six year period and threatened them not to tell other relatives, both girls were very brave for coming forward," said Putnam County Prosecutor Tim Bookwalter.

The molestations came to light when one girl reporter it to her counselor at a school outside of Putnam County.

Authorities then talked to her sister and found out both had been molested.

Hudson also pled guilty to having child pornography on his computer. Prosecutor Investigator Charles Bollinger was able to download the child pornography off of Hudson's computer.

Hudson, who had no criminal record, faced a maxim sentence of 16 years.
