Annetta Lee Young, 68, Brazil, died Saturday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law after an extended battle with cancer.

Born in Brazil, she was the daughter of Walter Lee Young and Elizabeth Annetta Mormans Young.

She was a 1957 graduate of Brazil High School. While in school, she worked at the Murphy's five and dime store as a cosmetics clerk, and after graduation, worked for Lynn Kidd Insurance Company.

She married Jack E. Young on Jan. 6, 1962, and he survives.

Later, she was a homemaker and then returned to work for Dr. S. Rahim Farid and Dr. Lynn Moss M.D. until retirement.

She was a member of the Greencastle Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Tonya Jael Young Swearingen and husband Jeffrey Swearingen, Brazil; a son, Troy Joel Young and wife Marcy Young and two granddaughters, all of Reelsville; a brother, Walter E."Walt" Young and a special friend Brenda, Brazil; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and a very close friend, Charlotte Romanic of Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts and uncles, a sister-in-law, and four nephews.

There will be no visitation. Lawson-Miller Chapel of Brazil is in charge of the arrangements.

Private services were held on Sunday at Summit Lawn Cemetery with Bro. Mike Gerking officiating.
