Marian E. McCormick, 88, Cataract, died Friday at Bloomington Hospital.

Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of Alva D and Hazel (Farris) Small.

A homemaker, she had been an assembler at P.R. Mallory in Greencastle. She was a member of Cataract Missionary Baptist Church and Bible Baptist Church at Millgrove.

She married Clarence Marcellus McCormick on Feb. 15, 1940. He died June 20, 1968.

Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn Scott, Cataract, Carol Shrader, Cataract, and Phyllis McCormick, Brazil; sister Vivian Fowler, Clay City; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Marcille Rood, Lois Sherfield and Vera Harden, brothers James, John, William and David Small; and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Jerry L. Huber officiating. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
