GMS cross country splits with Cascade

The Greencastle Middle School cross country teams split with Cascade on Monday, with the girls winning 26-35 and the boys falling 20-36.

Cascade's Justine Weathermon won the girls' race in a time of 14:53.

Top finisher for the Tiger Cubs was Abigail Wilson (15:21) in third. Sarah Beans (15:21.05) was right behind in fourth. Holly Dale (15:24) and Colleen Weatherford (16:01), were fifth and sixth, respectively. Jasmin Dwigans (16:37) was the final scorer for GMS in eighth.

In the boys' race, Cascade's Jeff Hopper won in a time of 13:08.

Erik Norlin (13:53) led the Tiger Cub charge in third. Tyler Hudson (14:50) was sixth, followed by Alec Davis (15:09) in seventh. Reggie Alex (16:13) was ninth, and Alex Asbell (16:51) rounded out the scoring in 11th.

The Tiger Cubs travel to Cloverdale at p.m. Thursday to take on the Clovers, North Putnam and Tri-West.
