A bug!

Children who like insects are invited to join a new club hosted by DePauw University.

The Putnam County Entomology Club for Kids will meet from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturdays at the Manning Field Station for Biology at the DePauw Nature Park.

The plan is to learn about insect habitats and collect insects through the middle of October, then spend some time indoors at the field station in the cooler months learning more about insects, identifying and displaying the collections.

The club is open to any child ages 7-616. Parents are encouraged to stay and learn along with the children.

The hosts for the club are parents, students and biologists at DePauw.

Any child interested in pursuing a collection for a 4-H project is especially welcome to attend.

For more information and registration, call Tavia Pigg in the Science Research Program at DePauw at 658-5090 or e-mail tpigg@depauw.edu.
