TERRE HAUTE -- The Greencastle volleyball team dropped a long match to Terre Haute North Monday night. The Patriots defeated the Tiger Cubs 25-27, 26-24, 25-23, 28-30, 15-10. Green-castle is now 8-11.

GHS coach Trish Lowe obviously wanted the win, but came away excited by the level of play exhibited by both teams.

"What a match!" Lowe said. "The fans sure got their money's worth tonight. This was a tough battle from the first serve. The match could have easily gone either way. With a couple of 'home court breaks' we definitely would have brought home the win."

Olivia Miller

Olivia Miller set a Greencastle record with 26 blocks in the match. Miller also led the Cubs with 25 kills, 19-of-19 serving, 11 points and four aces.

Kelsey Hennette led GHS with 39 assists and 43 digs.

"I am so excited about our team play," Lowe said. "We did some great things and had our best night of serve-receive."

The junior varsity fell to the Patriots 25-10, 25-16 to move to 3-9 on the year.

The Tiger Cubs visit Monrovia at 6 p.m. Thursday.
