Danver R. Hudson

Danver R. Hudson, 79, Greencastle, died Monday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Butler County, Ky., he was the son of Dan and Ella Hack Hudson.

He owned and operated Hudson's Market in Fillmore for 22 years. He was a member of Fillmore United Methodist Church. He also was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three sons, John R. Hudson and wife Angie, Greencastle, Dan Hudson Jr. and wife Debbie, Jeffersonville, and Wayne Hudson and wife Joyce, Clyde, Ohio; two daughters, Gail Willey and husband David, Louisville, Ky., and Jennifer Hon and husband Rick, Indianapolis; a sister, Minnie Jane Hudson, Lytchfield, Ky.; 15 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle. Burial will follow at Fillmore Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
