Joe Everson, 63, Greencastle, died Monday at St. Vincent Heart Center.
Born in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Frantz and Nannie Woodall Everson. He was raised in Parke County.
Everson graduated from Turkey Run High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a graduate of Indiana State University, worked at Public Service Indiana for 14 years, and was a manager at Wal-Mart Distribution since 1992. He was the longest standing employee at the Greencastle Distribution Center.
He attended Harvest House Church in Greencastle.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Gayle; three children, Angie Glaze and husband Dan, Greencastle, Chad Everson and wife Lurissa, Mooresville, and Joel Everson and wife LaToshia, Greencastle; siblings, Herb Everson, Clayton Everson, Jim Everson, Jean Smiley, Marilyn Watts and Tom Everson; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ivan Everson and sister Pat Tamositis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Hallie Taylor officiating.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
