Virginia Ann Parker

Virginia Ann Parker, 72, Greenville, Texas, formerly of Belle Union, died Thursday at Briarcliff Nursing Center, Greenville.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Oral Ray and Sarah Isabel (Salsman) Parker.

She was a graduate of Irving High School in Irving, Texas and had worked as a clerical secretary.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Jones and husband David, Allen, Okla.; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Glenn Ray Parker and Charles "Chuck" Parker.

Private graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Stilesville Cemetery. Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, is handling arrangements.
