City police

The Greencastle Police Department issued several traffic tickets recently.

* At 10:30 p.m. Friday, Officer Eric Vaughan cited Shalisa Buis, 17, Reelsville, at Tennessee and Bloomington streets for driving while suspended.

* At 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Vaughan cited Cassy Finley, 20, Greencastle, at Judson Drive and Indianapolis Road for never having been licensed and a child restraint violation.

* At 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Officer Jeff Modlin cited Katie Durham, 24, Greencastle, on Veterans Memorial Highway for driving while suspended with a prior.

* On Sunday, Sgt. Christopher Jones cited Marcus McCombs, 21, Greencastle, on Judson Drive for never having been licensed.

* At 11:20 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. Charles Inman cited Tisha Garver, 37, Scottsdale, Ariz., on Bloomington Street for driving without a registration plate.

* At 11:20 a.m. Monday, Inman and Officer Darrel Bunten cited Margaret Miller, 47, Greencastle, on Deerfield Drive for having an expired license plate and driving while suspended.

* At 3:35 p.m. Monday, Officer Travis DeLaGrange cited Marlynn Gaston-Brousard, 50, Greencastle, on Veterans Memorial Highway for driving with an expired license plate and operating a vehicle without financial responsibility.

* At 6:20 p.m. Monday, DeLaGrange cited Amber Short, 24, Cloverdale, on Veterans Memorial Highway for driving with an expired license plate.

* At 7:15 p.m. Monday, DeLaGrange cited Jason C. Clark, 33, of Greencastle, on Round Barn Road for driving 56 mph in a 30-mile per hour zone.

* At 8:10 p.m. Monday, DeLaGrange cited James Couch, 47, of Poland, on Bloomington Street for driving with a false or fictitious registration and an expired license plate.

* At 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jones cited Robert and Loretta Huff, 75 and 74, both of Greencastle, on Ind. 240 East for seatbelt violations.

* At 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, DeLaGrange cited Gary Dixon, 53, Greencastle, on Bloomington Street for driving with an expired license plate and a false or fictitious registration.

* At 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, DeLaGrange cited Christopher Pienta, Greencastle, for a seatbelt violation.

* At 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jones cited Steven White, 32, Greencastle, on Indianapolis Road for a seatbelt violation.

* At 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, DeLaGrange cited Justin Sanders, 21, Brazil, on Bloomington Street for driving with an expired license plate.

* At 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jones cited Ronald Hochstetler, 35, Coatesville, on South Jackson Street for a seatbelt violation.

* At 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jones cited Amy Berry, 41, Staunton, on South Jackson Street for speeding 45 mph in a 30-mile per hour zone.

* At 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jones cited Mary Keck, 40, Fillmore, on South Jackson Street for driving with an expired license plate.

* At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, DeLaGrange cited Ryan Stacker, 28, Greencastle, on Indianapolis Road for driving with an expired license plate.

* At 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jones cited Colin Frazier, 33, Greencastle, on Judson Drive for a seatbelt violation.

* At 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jones cited Rebecca Haltom, 20, Greencastle, on Judson Drive for driving while suspended.

* At 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, DeLaGrange cited Raymond Peters, 45, Greencastle, on Northwood Boulevard for driving with an expired license plate.

* At 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, Sgt. Terry Eastham cited Gene Owens, 63, Indianapolis, on East Washington Street for driving without an operator's license.

Sheriff's Dept.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department investigated one recent accident.

* At 7:58 p.m. Tuesday, a car went off the road and struck a power pole on Manhattan Road.

Deputy Joe Tesmer reported that Zachary Eaglin, Indianapolis, was driving a 1996 Cadillac Seville southbound on Manhattan Road, near CR 450 South, when he overcorrected and went off the road, striking a power pole and coming to rest in a yard. Damage was estimated at $5,000-10,000.

Putnam County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Vance Ellis Smith, 38, Spencer, was booked in at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday on a petition to revoke probation. He was arrested at PCJ.

* Jim Combs, 62, Cloverdale, was booked in at 10:38 a.m. Wednesday for check deception. He was arrested at PCJ.
