Putnam County Jail

Nine people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

• Terrance Garrett, 19, Greencastle, was booked in at 10:07 p.m. Friday for possession of alcohol by a minor. He was arrested at PCJ. He was released on his own recognizance at 10:32 p.m. Friday.

• Nicholas Edward Shetler, 20, Greencastle, was booked in at 10:43 p.m. Friday for possession of alcohol by a minor. He was arrested by Deputy Dena DeLaCruz. She was released at 2:51 a.m. Saturday on his own recognizance.

• James M. Blakley, 24, Cloverdale, was booked in at 12:08 a.m. Saturday for domestic battery. He was arrested by Sgt. Tom Helmer.

• Richard A. Hartman, 25, Bainbridge, was booked in at 2:17 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Greencastle Officer Eric Vaughan.

• Matthew Eric Cooper, 28, Greencastle, was booked in at 2:55 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated and public intoxication. He was arrested by Greencastle Sgt. Charles Inman.

• John A. Long, 48, Decatur, Ill., was booked in at 5:15 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Deputy Dwight Simmons.

• Jeremy Alan Cowger, 26, Greencastle, was booked in at 4:18 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by DePauw Officer Rick Keller. He was released on $500 bond at 12:55 p.m. Sunday.

• Brady Lee Simmons, 24, Greencastle, was booked in at 4:46 a.m. Sunday for domestic battery. He was arrested by Sgt. Helmer.

• Nicholas Ray Duncan, 23, Greencastle, was booked in at 5:17 a.m. Sunday for failure to stop after an accident, criminal recklessness, driving while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was arrested by Sgt. Inman.
