James Edward Foote Jr., 43, Poland, died Monday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of James Edward Foote Sr. and Cherylee Lynn (Williams) Foote Sinex.

He was a correctional officer with Plainfield IYC, attended Freedom Baptist Church and was a member of Fraternal Order of Police.

He married Lucinda Mae Walters on May 26, 2007.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Cherylee Linn Sinex and William Sinex, Spencer; son Jericho E. Foote, Poland; two stepdaughters, Kristen Rumple, Poland, and Sarah Rumple Holt and husband Jesse, Poland; bother Edward Sinex, Spencer, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Rev. David Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
