Putnam County Jail

Six people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

• Lance Whitney Morrison, 21, Cloverdale, was booked in at 3:40 p.m. Friday for violation of home detention. He was arrested at PCJ.

• Madonna K. Rourke, 52, Greencastle, was booked in at 2:06 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated. She was arrested by Greencastle Officer Nick Eastham.

• Thomas Roddy, 39, Clyde, Ohio, was booked in at 6:20 p.m. Saturday for non-support of a child. He was arrested at PCJ.

• Angela J. Flury, 50, Greencatle, was booked in at 2:52 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated. She was arrested by Greencastle Sgt. Charles Inman.

• Tyleen Kay Thomas, 34, Greencastle, was booked in at 8:23 a.m. Sunday for non-support of a child. She was arrested at PCJ.

• Pamela A. Hart, Greencastle, was booked in at 5:34 p.m. Sunday for failure to appear in court. She was arrested by Greencastle Officer Chris Jones.

Fire Dept.

Greencastle firefighters made several runs recently.

On Friday:

• At 9:07 a.m., firefighters responded to a smoke detector set off by construction workers at 1 Taylor Place. They returned to station at 9:19 a.m.

• At 12:47 p.m., firefighters responded to an alarm at Greencastle High School. However, they were radioed to disregard the run enroute and returned to station.

• At 8:50 p.m., firefighters were called to a gas leak at 1221 Bloomington St. after a relief valve on a gas line was not working properly. They returned to station at 9:55 p.m.

On Saturday:

• At 1:08 p.m., firefighters went to 107 W. Hanna St., after burned food set off an alarm on the second floor. They returned to station at 1:30 p.m.

• at 5:32 p.m., firefighters responded to an alarm on the fourth floor at Humbert Hall, 208 E. Olive St. The alarm was set off by hair spray. They returned to station at 5:46 p.m.

• At 8:05 p.m., firefighters were called to rescue a dog that had fallen down a hill at 215 S. CR 300 West. They used a stokes basket to retrieve the canine, and returned to station at 8:28 p.m.

On Sunday:

• At 7:46 a.m., firefighters were called to 330 Greenwood Ave. after burned food set off an alarm. They returned to station at 8:04 a.m.
