McCammon's 19 points not enough as Clovers fall to Bruins 55-53

Wednesday, November 7, 2007

LIZTON -- Kristin McCammon scored 19 points for Cloverdale Tuesday, but the Clovers could not overcome their own errors, as they fell to Tri-West 55-53.

The Clovers (0-1, 0-0 WCC) were just 12-for-28 shooting free throws on the night.

"We faltered at the free throw line," Clover coach Bruce Cook said.

For her part, though, McCammon was perfect from the field, going 7-of-7 and 5-of-5 from beyond the arc. Cook said her effort came at both ends of the floor, though.

"I thought Kristin McCammon had a great offensive night for us and a good defensive night," the coach said.

Kristen Schroer was next for the Clovers with nine points. Elizabeth Cheatham and Ashley Koosman each had eight.

The Cloverdale junior varsity also fell 37-20.

The Clovers travel to Union (Dugger) at 6 p.m. Thursday.
