Born in Brazil, she was the daughter of James and Lola (Love) Smith.
A 1949 graduate of Brazil High School and a 1952 nursing graduate of St. Anthony Hospital, she worked for Dr. Moon in Center Point for four years and at his Brazil office for several years. She was a teacher's aide at Staunton Elementary School for 16 years, and was an active member of First Christian Church in Brazil. She was active in the Missions Committee, Best Years Club and the church newsletter.
She married William E. "Bill" Huffman on Aug. 23, 1952. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Doug Huffman and wife Mindy, Center Point, and Gary Huffman and wife Maria (Girton) Huffman, Brazil; two sisters, Marjorie Thomas, Brazil, and Kaley Huffman, Brazil; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sister Jean McGranahan and brothers Don and Jim Smith.
Serivces will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Brazil, with burial in Clearview Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church, and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday.
