Leota M. "Peggy" Stark

Leota M. "Peggy" Stark, 83, Greencastle, formerly of Minnesota, died Saturday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.Born in Beroun, Minn., she was the daughter of Lambert Edward and Eva Hazel (Miller) Odendahl.

She was a graduate of Pine City High School, Pine City, Minn., and had been a homemaker.

She married Raymond Poferl and he preceded her in death in June of 1977. She married LeRoy "Roy" Stark in February of 1978 and he survives.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Kate Epstein and husband David, East Hampton, N.Y., Joan Leirer, Bloomington, and Mary Kertzman and husband Randy, Greencastle; seven brothers and sisters, Raymond Edward "Bud" Odendahl and wife Maxine, Ramona "Toots" Odendahl, Earl Germaine Odendahl and wife, Joanne, all of Pine City, Minn., Paul Lambert Odendahl and wife Janet, Tennessee, Keith William Odendahl, Colorado, and Joan Marie Curran and Shirley Elaine Odendahl, both of St. Paul, Minn.; two stepchildren, Barbara Rosaasen and husband Tom, and Bill Stark, both of California; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond Poferl; four brothers, Alvin Robert, Clair "Skeet", Robert Virgil , and an infant Odendahl.

Memorial services will be conducted in Minnesota at a later date.

Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, is assisting with arrangements.
