James C. Taylor, 72, Bainbridge, died Monday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Estill County, Ky., he was the son of Charlie and Allie Brandenburg Taylor. He married Hannah Haynes, and she survives.

Before retiring, he owned and operated several businesses, including used car lots, rental properties, Lakeview fishing lake, farmed and raised cattle.

Additional survivors include three sons, Dee Wayne and wife Jennifer, Bainbridge, and Steve and Jimmy, both of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield with burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.

Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time Thursday, at the funeral home.
