BAINBRIDGE -- A rough third quarter did the North Putnam freshmen boys' team Thursday night, as they fell to Owen Valley 31-22. The Cougars managed just two points in the frame.

"It was a close game at the half, but we had a tough third quarter," said Cougar coach Steve Peek.

The Cougars went on to outscore the Patriots 10-5 in the fourth, but it was too little, too late.

Paine Stewart and Travis Franklin were the co-leaders in scoring with five points each. Stewart also added four rebounds. Jacob Lucas and Garrett Porter each had four points. Cody Summerlot and Tommy Welch rounded out the scoring with two points each.

Cody Beck and Jared Fordice each pulled down four rebounds while Josh Hunt collected three boards.
