Shawna Johnston led the Cougars with 17 points. Dakota Malayer came off the bench to provide 14 points.

"Malayer came off the bench and gave us a great spark," Smith said.

Although she scored just four points, Smith was also pleased with junior Taylor Alles, who contributed some big rebounds and made two important free throws down the stretch.
