GHS freshmen earn split
The Greencastle freshman boys' basketball team split a pair of games this week, falling to Danville 34-20 and defeating Owen Valley 38-34.
Tyler Lewis led the Tiger Cubs against Danville with 8 points and Kyle Parker added 7.
In the game versus Owen Valley J.T. Hennette led a balanced attack with 15 points and Keegan Remsburg chipped in 13. Greencastle trailed by 1 point at the half, but outscored O.V. 12-2 in the third quarter and withstood a late rally by the Patriots and secured the win.
The Tiger Cubs' record stands at 8-5. They visit Northview at 6 p.m. Monday.
