Duane Scott Goens, 22, North Vernon, formerly of Eminence, died Thursday at Queen Creek, Ariz.

Born in Beech Grove, he was the son of Jeffrey Scott and Carla (Bradley) Goens.

He was employed as a laborer at Toyota in Seymour.

Surviving are his mother, Carla Goens, Paragon; his father, Jeffrey Scott Goens, North Vernon; three sisters, Amanda Gibson and husband Matthew, New Whiteland, Jessica Goens and Breanna Goens, both of Paragon; maternal grandparents, Carl and Alma Bradley, North Vernon; and paternal grandmother, Becky Spall, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Goens.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Michael Biggs officiating. Burial will be in Mannan Cemetery, Cloverdale.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
