NP freshmen wrestlers compete

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- North Putnam wrestled in the Southmont freshman junior varsity tourney last Thursday.

Madison McClellan wrestled Adam Nichols of Frankfort pinning him in 1:20 in the first period McClellen advanced to the quarterfinal but fell in the match 9-4.

Carter Price battled Jesse Martin of Southmont winning by fall at the 1:37 mark in the first period. He faced off against North Montgomery's Colton Snider for the 189 freshman final but dropped the contest.

At 215, Randy Soriano recorded a first period pin against North Vermillion's Michael Phelps. Soriano lost in the finals to Chance Hoover.
