Leatha M. Stinson, 92, Plainfield, died Monday at Plainfield Healthcare Center, Plainfield.

Born in Tazwell County, Va., she was the daughter of Milburn Robert Whitt and Mollie Alice (Puckett) Whitt. She married Otis Andrew Stinson on Aug. 20, 1930, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1972.

A homemaker, she was a member of Deer Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Greencastle.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen Shrader and husband Eugene, Plainfield, Mollie Odom and husband Gifford, Mooresville, and Margaret Anechiarico and husband John, Middleburg, Fla.; four sons, Robert Daniel Stinson and wife Mary, Martinsville, Jerry Stinson, Madison, Jimmy Stinson and wife Patricia, Melrose, Fla., and Andy J. Stinson and wife Mary, Gig Harbor, Wash.; three sisters, Alice Sparks, Indianapolis, Carol Baxter, Greencastle, and Winifred Bryant, Greencastle.; 24 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Geraldine Nichols, son Steve Stinson, sisters Rosie Ann Shrader and Lera M. Cook, brothers Thomas Therman Whitt, Raleigh Graham Whitt, James Alderson "Fuzz" Whitt and Isaac.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Rev. David Payton officiating. Burial will follow at Deer Creek Cemetery, Greencastle.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
